The Coaching Association of Canada, in partnership with the Provincial and Territorial Coaching Representatives (PTCRs), is pleased to announce the creation of a NEW role within the NCCP titled the Competition – Development National Master Learning Facilitator (MLF). Individuals selected for this role will be members of the 4-5 member Competition – Development MLF National Team.
The national MLF concept signals a new approach for the training, evaluation and professional development of NCCP Learning Facilitators and requires collaboration among 3 key roles: National Master Learning Facilitators, Advanced Learning Facilitators, and Learning Facilitators. CAC and the PTCRs believe that the Competition – Development National MLF Team will further enhance and strengthen the quality of NCCP multi-sport delivery by providing front-line Learning Facilitators with nationally consistent messages during their initial training, and on-going national support post-training.
The 3 key roles required for this new approach, and aspects of their inter-relationship are outlined in the table below.

Draft 1 Tri Meet Team 2008
Hello, Attached is Draft 1 of the Tri-meet Team for November. I have attached the list of those that I found to have the Age Group National Standard for the upcoming year- these swimmers are ineligible for this Tri-meet, as the Meet is an Age Group National de-qualifier (same criteria for all swimmers attending the meet). I selected them team based on your (the coaches) feedback- by stroke and by FINA points. Basically, I looked through the Power Rankings from last year, check the birthdays for this year to see who was eligible for what age group (as of November 8, 2008) and then jotted down all of their top swims and the FINA points they achieved. As many of the swimmers were the top in more than one stroke category, I put them in the category in which they reached the highest FINA points, then went down from there. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THEY WILL ONLY BE SWIMMING WHAT THEY QUALIFIED FOR- IT JUST IS TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE A WELL ROUNDED TEAM! If you could look this over carefully and let me know if there's anyone I missed or that should be there (I'm sure there is!), could you let me know ASAP. Thanks! Canada Games Camp
Hello Canada Games Core Team Athletes, Our camp that was planned for MIramichi this coming weekend will bepostponed due to low response and subscription to the camp. We are a year away from the Canada Games Competiiton and it is the time forall swimmers who are Canada GAmes Team hopefulls to start thinking ahead andmaking goals for performance and results at Canada Games. I am planning on giving out a dryland program that all athletes can dothroughout the season and we will be working on some goal setting for theupcoming year so that we are ready to race when we get to PEI. There were only 10 swimmers who had responded to the camp for this weekendand the materials that will be covered are important for all members of thecore team. Thank you to those of you that sent in your forms, or let us knowwhy you couldn't make it. Robin will hold on to the forms and cheques (notcashed yet) for those of you that sent your information in, and we willconsider you confirmed for the next camp unless we hear otherwise once thedate is confirmed. We are looking in to trying to have the camp either September 13 or 20. Please keep your schedules open and make it a priority to attend the camp tomake sure we start the season together and do all that we can to have thebest team possible for New Brunswick when we race at Canada GAmes nextsummer. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your summer!! Paula CrutcherNB Canada Games Team Head Coach
